India is doing well, but it needs to do better
Ever since 1947, independent India took major strides in every sphere to improve its image and services. When we look back, we are reminded of Green Revolution, Pak-India war, Oil Crisis, and the very recent attack of Russia on Ukraine. USA has restricted Russia to trade worldwide by freezing the dollars in the account. Many countries are devising their own ways to trade with each other.
Earlier, transactions used to take place in a conventional way. You give me 3 kilos of rice and I give you 2 kilos of dal. Something, similar. Something changed. Over time, every country legalised its own currency. In India, Indian Rupee is the currency that's accepted across the Indian territory. With UPI, the game has altogether changed. Most of the people( including young and old) in India prefer making payments using UPI( Unified Payments Interface). At national highways and roads, Fasttag has been implemented that reduced wait time and facilitated easy transfer of information between the goverment of India and the owners of vehicles.
However, some cases make us worry about what's going wrong. DMRC recently reported that some perpetrators had stolen copper wires worth lacs. This issue is commonly observed across metro stations where there is little lighting and no surveillance. Delhi Police has decided to install CCTV's at such places to detect criminal/malicious activity. These places have trees with long branches that allows suspicious elements to enter the metro stations. Also, Delhi is the number one city, where crimes against women are reported.
We are just focusing on improving the situation of every citizen of India. India holds immense potential if the youth can learn to leverage modern and advanced technologies like AI. I can only hope that the country gets better and ahead. India is our pride, India is our honour.
India needs to produce 20 million jobs every year but it's able to create only 5 million jobs. Businesses need to open up, startups need to be created to produce jobs for youths. India imposes heavy tax on every industry. If a businessman wants to setup, let's say a sweet shop in India, he would have to wait for 9-12 months. This is close to one year. Whereas in countries like Singapore and Dubai, this only takes a month or two.
If a gold shop owner needs to transport jewellery to a foreign country, 40% tax will be levied. In Dubai, a person can buy jewellery without paying hefty tax and accumulate wealth and resources. India is lagging behind because of corruption. Goverment officials claim that they have to feed other officials involved as well. Forget that, even a owner of a building who's renting apartments and flat to people increases cost every year. If you are paying 10,500 per month for 2BHK flat in Noida, it is bound to increase to 11,900 by next year.
Middle class people can't even dream about creating a business on their own. Initiates such as implementation of GST has somewhat fastened the clearance process to set up these shop, but the time it takes to arrange all documentation still is huge and brings disappointment to people. Farmers are protesting and it's been years since their demands have been fulfilled. Parents have been protesting about high fees in private schools. Patients have been crying about the ill treatment and unsatisfactory services provided at goverment hospitals but they are forced to cough up huge amounts to get themselves treated.
In Premier hospitals like AIIMS Delhi, you can't get an appointment until 1 year. If you want to see a doctor in any department in AIIMS, you will have to wait for one year because pre-booking has been done. If you wish to watch a cricket match, all tickets have been sold. Then, people are forced to cough up money and they resort to dark practises that allow them entry into the stadium to witness a game. Isn't that weird. This sucks.
Hopefully, we Indians can produce better students who will eradicate poverty and corruption. That's going to be very difficult since the everyone here criticizes someone who dreams about creating jobs. Anyone earning money through business is seen as resorting to malicious and bad practises. The mindset is such that businessman are seen as crooks by the very own people of the country. And unfortunately, jobs aren't available to cater to the requirements of every citizen.
